Saturday 02/01/14

Now we have to worry about overhead ice and snow from the surrounding buildings and avalanches on the ski trails. It stopped snowing about 9am and we saw the sun for about 1 hour. Then we had snow showers for the rest of the day. The plows are out in force moving the snow into large piles for removal. After digging my car out again, I saw the outline of my back wheel in the snow. In the afternoon, we went to the Keystone Nordic center to snowshoe. The trails are very narrow and if you go off the trail, the snow is 3-4 feet deep. After doing the 3 mile course, we went to the Keystone Ski resort where we saw HUNDREDS of people skiing. It was the most crowded I have seen the resort in years. I hope the sun stays out tomorrow and maybe we can get some skiing in.
